4 flash drives containing Bitcoin wallet passwords were the key to the arrest of Michael Pratt, the leader of the notorious “Girls Do Porn” human trafficking ring for decades.
Michael James Pratt, the criminal who ran the largest prostitution ring in American history, with at least 400 victims, was arrested by Spanish police in December 2022, four days before Christmas, in a Madrid hotel. After three years on the run, Pratt was finally caught, handcuffed and thrown to the floor.
Pratt is awaiting trial in a Southern California prison, facing a possible life sentence. The key to Pratt’s arrest in this case was just four silver cryptocurrency flash drives. These four USB drives contained passwords to access accounts worth $500,000 in Bitcoin.
The cryptocurrency was not only a reward for decades of running the Girls Do Porn trafficking ring, but also the instrument that led to the downfall of Michael James Pratt after 3 years on the run.
